Kathy Dufresne

Kathy Dufresne
Kathy grew up in central Montana.  After graduating from Highwood High School she attended the University of Montana, majoring in journalism.  Her love for children and a strong desire to make a difference drove her to change majors and she became a teacher.  During her 35 years in the classroom and coordinating/teaching various programs, she taught kids in all grades K-12.  Following retirement, she renewed her passion for writing, but this time in the form of children’s books.  With four delightful grandchildren, Kathy found story ideas that were inspired by their imaginations, humor, and curiosity.  The roots of each story emanate from something said or done by a grandchild.  Kathy’s chief editors are her 4-year-old grandchildren, Finn and Emilia, to whom she first reads the stories.  They tell her what needs to be added or deleted for a good story!
